Ray Kurzweil, Google’s chief engineer, thinks that human beings will become hybrids that can connect their brains to the Internet by 2030. Kurzweil made this unusual statement at the Exponential Finance conference in New York.
According to him, the brain can connect to nanobots, small robots created from DNA fibers, and will be able to utilize cloud servers to increase our intelligence.
“Our thoughts will be a hybrid of biological and non-biological thoughts,” Kurzweil said.
“Thus, we are gradually improving ourselves. In my view, this is human nature, to exceed its limits.
“We will be able to expand our boundaries and think in the cloud. We will put the gates of the clouds in our brains. ”
Rurzweil predicted that technological singularity – when artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence – would occur by 2045.
He has made predictions about the future before and they have been accurate. In the 1990s he made 147 forecasts for 2009. In 2010 he reviewed his forecasts and found that 86% of them were accurate.
He predicted that people would use laptops in 2009, cables would disappear, and computer screens would also appear on glasses. Kurzweil had also predicted that in 2009 there would be self-driving cars, but in fact this was realized a few years later.
