The Catholic-Greek Archbishop of Presov in Slovakia, Jan Babjak, who celebrated Mass with Pope Francis a week ago, tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in quarantine.
Babjak, has been vaccinated with both doses and fortunately so far has shown mild symptoms of the disease. The Archbishopric of Presov has informed the Vatican about this development.
Archbishop Babjak, 67, began showing the first symptoms of the disease last Friday. He is believed to have been infected after contact with a Greek bishop, who also tested positive for the virus.
