The head of the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan, Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund, met in Kabul with representatives of Russia, China and Pakistan, Taliban official Ahmadullah Muttaqi said on Tuesday.
In a Twitter post, he also downloaded a photo allegedly showing the Russian envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, and China’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong.
Muttaqi said that the meeting was also attended by the Taliban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi, and the Taliban Minister of Finance, Hedayatullah Badri.
No other details about the meeting were given. The Taliban formed their government in Afghanistan on September 7. It is not yet recognized by any country.
