Norway has decided to repeal all measures taken due to the pandemic.
Starting tomorrow, social distance will no longer be required, nightclubs can be reopened and restaurants can accept customers as in normal times, Prime Minister Erna Solberg told a news conference.
“It’s been 561 days since we imposed the toughest measures in Norway in peacetime. “Now is the time to get back to normal,” she said.
The decision is part of a four-phase plan to remove measures imposed at the start of last year’s pandemic. However, the implementation of the last stage has been delayed several times due to the alarming rate of infections.
“After a short time, we can now live normally,” said the outgoing head of the Norwegian government.
