Germans elect the federal parliament, the Bundestag, today. German citizens will go to the polls today, where they will elect the new government, while the CDU / CSU is in power.
A recent poll, published two days before the election (24.09.) Of the Allensbach demographic institute, sees the Social Democrats and Conservatives with almost equal support, with a margin of 1 percent (26/25%).
The Social Democrats have led the last four months in most polls against the Conservatives, most recently by a very small margin, 2-3 percent. SPD got to 25 percent, CDU / CSU got to 22-23 percent. But such a small difference is within the margin of error that surveys can make.
