Denmark failed to achieve its goal of “applying two doses of COVID-19 vaccine by October 1 to 90 percent of its population over the age of 12”.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, with 4,366,235 people receiving the second dose of the vaccine, the vaccination rate reached 84.9 percent.
While the rate of those who received the second dose of the vaccine was recorded as 84.9 percent, the rate of those who received the first dose of the vaccine is 86.6 percent which remained below the target.
The COVID-19 vaccine was provided free of charge in Denmark and on 10 September all measures against COVID-19 were lifted due to the high levels of the vaccination campaign.
