A bomb blast at the entrance to the Eidgah Mosque in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, has killed at least two people and injured four others, according to preliminary reports.
Taliban government spokesman and acting minister of the Taliban administration Zabihullah Mujahid said a bomb attack had taken place at the entrance to the Eidgah mosque in Kabul.
Saeed Hosti, an Interior Ministry spokesman in the Taliban interim government, noted that according to preliminary estimates, two people were killed and four others were injured in the attack.
Witnesses reported that the attack took place during a ceremony to read Quranic passages in the same mosque for Mujahid’s mother who passed away a few days ago.
The attack has not yet been carried out by anyone.
