Another event was recorded in the Turkish village of Duatepe. In the village, almost all the inhabitants are Muslims, but in the village mosque there is no imam.
The village is located in the city of Erzurum in Turkey and the call to prayer has not been heard in the mosque for 6 months. Residents tell local media that they go to the mosque to pray 5 meals a day while they miss lectures on Fridays or holidays.
According to Turkish media, this is the only village in the country where the call to prayer is not sung.
They see it not only as an obstacle for themselves but also for their children who fail to acquire knowledge about religion.
“In the village we have 6 months without an imam. We miss hearing the call to prayer. We come here and find only the walls. This also prevents our children from learning about religion. “We do not know what to do,” said residents.
