A 61-year-old man from Missouri, USA, has been executed by a court decision, after being accused of three murders that took place in 1994.
Although his lawyers opposed the decision, the court still ruled that the 61-year-old’s sentence was execution.
The 61-year-old had made several requests for a more lenient sentence and this request had received support from Pope Francis and two members of Congress.
Johnson was accused of killing three store employees during a 1994 robbery. He also suffered from fetal alcohol syndrome, as his mother drank heavily during pregnancy.
On the other hand, the lawyers presented to the court some of his medical reports, where according to them the 61-year-old had the mental ability of a child and was not aware of the actions performed.
