The energy crisis all over the world, mainly in Europe causing huge price increases has opened a strong debate blaming Russia for non-supply.
According to “The Guardian” Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexahnder Novak has said that the certification of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is receiving the green light from the regulator in Germany, could reduce the price of gas in Europe.
“I think there are two factors that could somehow calm the situation. The first, of course, is the final completion of the certification and the green light as soon as possible for the gas supplies through the completed pipeline, Nord Stream 2 “, said Novak during a meeting of government officials and heads of energy companies.
The senior Russian official added that the increase in gas sales on Gazprom’s electronic platform could also calm prices. During the meeting of Russian officials, President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has been a reliable supplier of energy to Europe. Moscow will increase supplies to Europe, including the use of pipelines passing through Ukrainian territory.
