Queen Elizabeth was present at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022 with Prince Edward.
She looked stunning in an orange fall coat and matching hats radiating along with her youngest son, Earl of Wessex, at Buckingham Palace.
The launch marks the 95-year-old’s first major royal holiday from her official residence in London since the Covid pandemic began.
She placed her message inside the “smart” stick, which closed automatically, ahead of his 294-day journey.
This year’s stick is equipped with the latest technology to protect the Queen’s message until it is read at the opening ceremony of the Birmingham Games on July 28, 2022. The Queen is a fan of the Commonwealth Games Federation and was joined in the ceremony by a deputy defender of the institution, Prince Edward.
