Czechs vote today and tomorrow in parliamentary elections. Polls suggest incumbent Prime Minister Andrej Babis and his ANO party will narrowly win. The two smaller parties that support his government – the left-wing Social Democrats and the Communist Party – may not win enough seats to remain in Parliament.
This could force the ANO to seek agreement with far-right nationalists to retain power. Another possible outcome is a government made up of the two main center-right and center-left opposition blocs. Babis is currently facing charges for undeclared property outside the Czech Republic, which have been uncovered by the so-called Pandora Letters.
