The Kremlin has called on Russian citizens to be vaccinated following the recent rise in new cases of coronavirus and the high mortality rate caused by the pandemic.
“Every time we use every opportunity to reach out to all citizens, making the simple call of ‘go get vaccinated,'” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov, adding that the only way to protect life is to get vaccinated. ”
He even called on the media to repeat this call.
The Kremlin spokesman referred to the low rate of vaccination in Russia, which together with the new more aggressive types of coronavirus, increase the mortality rate.
“Indeed, the vaccination rate in our country remains low, resulting in a high mortality rate, the pandemic does not pass, it returns with new waves, with new more aggressive species, which are more contagious and this presents a great danger. “Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov said the coronavirus situation was under the personal control of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
