The code analysis contained in the new beta version of WhatsApp for Android (release 18.104.22.168) has led to the identification of numerous references to what appears to be an entirely new feature called Community.
The XDA-Developers team found them. What is it about? Does Facebook intend to turn the app into a social network? Apparently not, at least for now.
Of course it will have to do with groups and their management. One of the hypotheses under consideration is that it envisages the integration of a new method offered to administrators for the delivery of messages or communications, in a manner similar to what has already happened for a long time in competing services (starting with Telegram )
It is possible that “Community” will simply be the new name chosen to identify the groups.
Are you confused? Understandably, it is the norm when it comes to making predictions about future new features by referring only to what the prior release code suggests.
We remind you that the team working on the app has recently started the beta phase of multi-device support that allows you to enter conversations even without a smartphone and sync them to up to four devices connected at the same time.
