Cases of coronavirus in the Czech Republic are at higher levels compared to half a year ago.
Health authorities predict an increase in cases in the coming weeks, warning that more than 300 affected could be reported.
The Minister of Health, Adam Vojtech said that this is also due to the low vaccination of citizens, while appealing for speeding up the process.
“The situation is turning into an epidemic of the unvaccinated. Most cases reported are not vaccinated. “There are also some of them who have to be hospitalized due to their serious health condition”, he said.
Meanwhile, according to data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, about 67% of people in the Czech Republic are fully vaccinated.
