A former aide to Hillary Clinton has published a book in which she confessed to all the sexual harassment committed by a US senator.
Huma Abedin said the unidentified politician jumped on him on a sofa in the mid-2000s after inviting him to his home, according to the Guardian.
She says she opposed him as he tried to kiss her. The claim is detailed in her new book, Both / And: A Life in Many Worlds, which will be published next week.
Abedin describes the sexual assault as recounting her work as an aide to Clinton, when she was a U.S. senator for New York between 2001-2009.
Abedin, now 45, does not reveal the senator’s identity or his party.
She says that after a dinner in Washington he went out with the politician and when they stopped in front of his house he invited him inside for coffee. She agreed.
According to the Guardian, which has seen a preliminary copy of the memoir, Abedin writes: “Then, in a moment,
everything changed. “He sat to my right, put his left arm around my shoulder and kissed me, pushing his tongue into my mouth and pushing me back on the couch.”
“I was so shocked that I left. “All I wanted was for the last 10 seconds to be erased from memory.”
