Johns Hopkins University has published total COVID-19 data worldwide.
Since the first case of infection, which coincides with February 11, 2021, a total of 247,129,758 people infected with the dangerous virus have been registered. Of whom, 5,005,638 unfortunately passed away. Optimistic figures come from people who have been vaccinated, at least one dose of it. According to Johns Hopkins University, a total of 7,083,377,262 people have been vaccinated, of whom 115,719,889,334 have been vaccinated in the last 28 days. The United States is the country with the highest number of infected people and victims.
A total of 46,091,924 infected persons were registered, while the deaths were 747,033.
Second comes the UK, with 9,140,441 infected people and 1,41,098 victims, followed by Russia with 8,417,305 infected and 141,098 dead and Turkey with 8,061,646 infected and 70,828 dead. As for Albania, in total, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, 185,497 infections have been recorded and unfortunately, 2931 citizens have not won the battle with the virus.
