A tree-planting campaign was organized in the blockaded Gaza Strip in memory of children who lost their lives in recent Israeli attacks.
Every tree planted as part of this campaign, which aims to increase green spaces in Gaza, took the name of the children who lost their lives in the Israeli attacks in May.
Hundreds of Palestinians took part in the tree planting campaign in collaboration with the Gaza Municipality and the High Council for Youth and Sports, the Dolphin Club and the Tariq System and Project Company, which are non-governmental organizations in the region.

Gaza Mayor Yahya es-Sarraj said that with this campaign aimed at a greener Gaza, the Palestinians have once again shown their commitment to their land.

The Deputy Secretary General of the High Council of Youth and Sports, Abdusselam Heniyye, said the tree planting campaign is a kind of loyalty to the children who lost their lives in the Israeli attacks and their families.
Stressing that the campaign is a continuation of the project “Planting more than 30,000 trees in the name of martyrs throughout Palestine”, which began last year, Heniyye said that the project in question will continue for several more years.

In Israeli-launched attacks on the Gaza Strip blocked on May 10, 254 Palestinians were killed, including 66 children and 39 women, 1,948 were injured and thousands of buildings were completely destroyed or rendered unusable.
