One of the most dangerous thieves takes refuge in the Balkans. The well-known British media, BBC, has revealed that Alfredo Lindley is hiding behind a series of thefts in the luxury homes of three celebrities in December 2019, including the robbery of 25 million pounds found in the house of F 1 heiress, Tamara Ecclestone.
Italian authorities also accuse Lindley of robbing the home of Patrick Vieira in 2009, now manager of Crystal Palace.
The famous robber is believed to be hiding in Belgrade. The 40-year-old Peruvian citizen has a criminal record in Italy for fraud and theft with multiple identities dating back to 1995, according to court documents provided by the BBC.
The documents show that these identities are linked to various European cities, including Belgrade, Sarajevo, Milan and Zagreb.
Under the name Ljubomir Romanov, Lindley appeared before a court in Belgrade on August 27, demanding his extradition to the UK.
In 2019, he ransacked the home of former Chelsea and England footballer Lampard and his wife Christine, west London, while the couple was out.
He also robbed a property belonging to the family of Leicester City billionaire owner Srivaddhanaprabha.
