The Albanian Police opened a tender within the European Green and Blue Borders Effective Management Project, which is funded by the European Union, where companies from the Netherlands, Norway and Italy also competed and in which the Turkish company received full points. from the technical file.
According to Turkish media within the project, in Izmir has started the construction of the ship with aluminum material, with a length of 15 meters, as well as with fiberglass boats, with a length of 10 meters, which will be used in control and patrolling. The ships will go on patrol at sea in March next year and will be handed over to the officials of the Ministry of Interior of Albania in the Port of Durrës.
Gözüyılmaz Mühendislik and Izmir Shipyard Deputy General Manager Özgür Inam told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they export boats abroad under the Izmir Shipyard brand.
Regarding the tender in Albania, Inam said that it was a very competitive tender and that they managed to stand out among European companies.
“It was a source of pride for our country and our company,” he said.
