A landmine has killed at least seven people, including a child, in Syria’s central province of Homs, a non-governmental organization has said.
The attack struck shortly after noon in front of a rally on a deserted road near the historic city of Palmyra, said the British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
According to the source, the blast struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center, killing at least two women, a child and four men.
Explosives left in the fields, along roads or inside buildings on all sides in the Syrian conflict have injured thousands of civilians and killed hundreds more.
