After a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar, member of the Serbian Presidency Milorad Dodik said on Monday that war was not an option for resolving any issue in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that all processes should be politics.
“Neither I nor anyone from Republika Srpska called for war as an option, and in this regard we absolutely agree that peace and stability must be maintained,” Dodik was quoted as saying.
“He stressed that RS will continue to take care of itself, because that is the only way to preserve constitutional Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
“Republika Srpska will not give up its intentions to return competencies in some areas, and in the next six months the government will prepare new legislation.”
While talking about the Dayton Agreement, he underlined that in principle there are no problems with Escobar on this issue. The senior US official also met with two other members of the Bosnian tripartite presidency during the day.
