WhatsApp has a new feature that allows users to connect their account with additional devices.
This feature ensures that users continue to send and receive messages while their “primary” smartphone is not online.
When you turn off the internet, you can send messages again.
This feature comes for all WhatsApp users with the latest update on Android and iOS devices.
By now, users had to be online on a primary smartphone to continue using WhatsApp on, say, a computer.
How to activate a new feature?
To enable this feature on your device, you must select the Beta option.
When you activate it, you will be disconnected from all devices before reconnecting to new devices. So when you enter the app, go to settings, then connected devices and activate Beta.
The app is the same as before, the only difference is that you will be able to chat regardless of whether your main device is online.
Connected devices will be able to receive and send messages up to 14 days after the main device goes offline. This can be useful if you lose your cell phone or run out of battery.
Unfortunately, there are limitations. IOS devices are not allowed to delete messages or conversations from connected devices, and you cannot connect an account to a tablet or other iOS mobile phone.
