Austria has set another record for COVID-19 infections.
Health authorities there report that 11,400 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.
This figure shows that the rate of cases in the country per 100,000 people is now 700, according to data from the Ministry of Interior and Health.
In an effort to control the spread of the disease, the country has restored controls that restrict entry to the workplace for those who have been vaccinated or cured of the virus.
Also, anyone who will test negative after the test can go to work.
But stricter rules went into effect Monday, meaning places like hairdressing salons and bars are only open to those who have been vaccinated or can prove they have recovered.
