Norway will provide the third dose of coronavirus vaccine to all people 18 years of age and older. So far, this country has offered the third booster dose only to people over 56 years old.
“Every person 18 years of age and older will be offered the third dose of the vaccine next year,” Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere told a news conference on Friday. Norway, at the end of September, has put an end to measures against coronavirus, which for 18 months have restricted social interactions and hindered many businesses. The country will not return to isolation, Stoere said.
Although 87% of adults in Norway have received at least two doses of coronavirus vaccine, infections and hospitalizations are currently increasing. Norway uses vaccines manufactured by Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna. Since September, she has started vaccinating all people 12 years and older.
