An Israeli couple is in trouble in Turkey after photographing the residence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They are being accused of espionage, local Turkish media write.
Sources suggest that the couple photographed the presidential residence from the bar where they were located, which had a full view of the building.
On the other hand, Israeli Foreign Minister Jair Lapid denied that the couple was working for the ‘Israeli security services’, adding that they are in constant contact with Turkish authorities about the arrested couple.
The Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” identified the couple as Natalie and Mordi Oknin and referring to their lawyer, it is learned that they photographed from the bar the Dolmabahçe palace built during the Ottoman Empire.
