Six teens were injured in a shooting at a local park in the U.S. state of Colorado, police said.
The shooting happened at noon in Nome Park, which is located near a high school, said the Police Department.
Six teenagers aged 14 to 17 were transported to hospital after the shooting, police said in a Twitter post.
According to police, the incident did not occur inside the school, but only north in Nome Park. Police initially posted on Twitter that the high school was closing, but later changed it saying the school was on a safe perimeter.
Police said the suspect fled the scene.
