Over 10 million people had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 across Myanmar as of Tuesday, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.
Over 5 million people had received their first COVID-19 vaccine since Tuesday, the statement said.
According to ministry figures, Myanmar reported 843 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the number to 515,559.
The death toll rose to 18,975 on Wednesday after 12 more deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
As of Wednesday, a total of 487,145 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 5.28 million samples have been tested for COVID-19.
