President Joe Biden will hand over power to Vice President Kamala Harris after hospitalization. The news was announced by the press secretary of the White House, Jen Psaki.
Biden underwent the transfer of power procedure Friday morning, a day before his 79th birthday.
“As was the case when President George W. Bush had the same procedure in 2002 and 2007, and following the process set out in the Constitution, President Biden will transfer power to the Vice President for a short period of time while he is in hospital. “Psaki said in a statement. “The vice president will be working from her West Wing office during this time.”
