Ukraine’s parliament on Sunday voted to extend martial law for another 90 days. More specifically, the law has been extended until August 23rd.
This resolution was voted with 320 votes, said the Vrekhovna Rada, while a total of 450 members were present. Already President Volodymyr Zelensky will sign the law which is expected to enter into force soon.
Recall that Russia has concentrated its attacks in the East of the country, more precisely in the Donbas Region, which became the pretext of war. President Zelensky has stated that this region has been completely destroyed by the Russians, adding that their troops are resisting not handing over territories.
On the other hand, a city that has been under Russian focus since the beginning of the occupation has been Mariupol. The port city has already been taken by the enemy forces and controlled by them. The online media has seen how the evacuations of soldiers who were sheltered inside the steel factory were carried out, and even, according to reports, some of them were executed.
