The situation in Sievierodonetsk continues to remain disturbing as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Officials have warned that the situation is worsening and that the country is on the brink of a humanitarian disaster and that the city is being looted by Russian troops.
Through a status on social networks, the governor of Luhansk Serhai Haidai emphasized that about 80% of the houses were destroyed.
“The city is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, there is no centralized water supply, gas supply or electricity supply. Since the end of February, the invaders have bombed critical infrastructure facilities, almost completely destroying them. Sievierodonetsk is experiencing a humanitarian disaster”, he emphasizes.
Meanwhile, it is thought that around 15,000 civilians may still be in the city.
