The Spanish media have published new details from the robbery at the villa of the Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Nazario in Ibiza, by a gang led by two Albanian brothers.
Watches and jewelery worth nearly three million euros were taken while Verratti, his wife and some friends were having a ‘Barbecue’ in the garden with catering included. In fact, it was the wife of the PSG footballer who surprised the thieves when she heard them creaking on the wooden floor on the first floor of the villa. When he went upstairs, he saw a hooded man coming out of the room.
At the time of the robbery, there were three guards in the villa, two of them with dogs and another who was watching the security cameras. The footage shows how the perpetrators climb onto the roof and calmly wait, even smoking, for the moment to go to Verratti’s house to rob.
In search of the “holy”
In fact, the police are investigating whether in this, as in other attacks, the gang had the cooperation of “saints”, as people who worked at the house are known as people who could give them information about how, when and where they could hit.
Two of the group members were arrested when they got off the ferry in Denia (Alicante). The loot was hidden in the airbag and elsewhere in the car. Police sources confirm that they had specifically rented that car model after they “studied” that it was ideal for hiding the loot of the robbery.
