China is asking the United States not to stand in the way of its “peaceful reunification” with Taiwan, which Beijing considers an “inalienable” part of its territory.
This is what the Foreign Minister declared Wang Yi at the bilateral meeting in Bali with his American counterpart, Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“Since the US has promised not to support Taiwan’s independence – he said – they must stop emptying and distorting China’s policy.”
