Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has joined the race to replace Boris Johnson.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Trus vowed that the aim is to reduce taxes and that, according to her, it will start from day one.
Meanwhile, the other names in the race have also outlined their competing tax plans as an essential element of their proposals.
“It is not right to impose taxes now”, she said, adding that if she had the choice, she would take immediate actions to help citizens with the cost of living.
Among other things, the Foreign Secretary said that she would “fight the elections as a conservative and would govern as a conservative.
