Defending Ukraine’s skies against Russian missile terror will be a fundamental step toward ending the war in the near future.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his online speech at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
“I ask you at all levels, in politics, in the media, in communication with voters, to stand for the provision of a sufficient amount of air defense and anti-missile defense systems for Ukraine. Since this year we must protect our skies from Russian terror. If we do this, it will be a fundamental step to end the war in the near future,” Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine thanked Germany for the delivery of the first IRIS-T systems and expressed confidence that this would open up opportunities for further deliveries of air defense and anti-missile defense systems from both German partners and other manufacturers.
